Just found out about this artist and I really like some of the work he's done, creating atmospheric and highly realistic paintings with a haunting ambience and imagery of post-apocalyptic landscapes and scenes. His work is somewhat reminiscent of H R Giger's works but focussing more around a fantasy element compared to Giger's biomechanical themes. Unfortunately, it seems Beksiński was in fact murdered in 2005, so there won't be any more works from him =(. I'd recommend anyone who's a fan of such styles mentioned above or of Giger to check out his works.

Here's his website for anyone who's interested: [link]

The Cure, The Orphanage, Haruhi Suzumiya, Idiots,

Sat Mar 22, 2008, 3:08 PM
  • Mood: Wow!
  • Listening to: Draconian
  • Reading: MoonPhase
  • Watching: The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya
  • Playing: Dawn of War: Soulstorm
  • Eating: Jelly Beans
  • Drinking: Coke
First things first, The Cure concert was frickin awesome ;)
Second, The Orphanage is a good film, its actually pretty creepy and doesn't rely on the really lameassed and overusage of crappy CGI that most films these days do, plus there was no over-the-top ending either.
Third, I've recently been watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and it really is rather awesome. Looks like it can live up to its loyal following of however many people there are that like it. Iunno how many really but theres rather a lot of them.
Fourthly, THIS WORLD IS FULL OF IDIOTS. People stopping in the middle of staircases, talking during concerts and films (such as the ones above) about completely random and unrelated shit that is REALLY annoying and unnecessary, people getting pissed off their heads for no real reason, and a number of other things. All I can say about you people, is why are you so stupid and why don't you realise that the stuff you do is so fucking annoying?
Fifthly, The new Draconian album, Turning Season Within, is a rather neat album, has some really great tracks on it. Go listen to it ;).
Finally, Jelly Beans are awesome, Nathan's party was pretty good, Cineworld sucks for not showing either The Orphanage or Diary of the Dead in my local town and for it being the only cinema around, thus almost negating any chance of me seeing the latter film before its out on DVD <_<, and I WILL get some stuff up on here soon, I promise =\.
